Leadership

Doc Gautham is a renowned neuropsychiatrist with over three decades of experience in neurobehavioral medicine, psychotherapy, and psychiatric rehabilitation. In 1988, he established Doc Gautham’s Neuro Centre, one of Chennai’s earliest centers dedicated to comprehensive brain-mind care. His career includes advisory roles with global organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he contributed to mental health policy and capacity building. At the Institute of Applied Therapeutics, he serves as the Chief Knowledge Architect, overseeing the scientific framework and learning pathways. His guidance ensures that every course is grounded in evidence-based practice while remaining accessible, practical, and deeply aligned with the real-world challenges of mental health professionals today.

Mrs. Archana is a seasoned mental health professional with over 5 years of experience in neuropsychology, psychotherapy, and psychiatric rehabilitation. Her clinical practice combines scientific rigor with empathetic care, helping individuals navigate complex emotional and cognitive challenges. At the Institute of Applied Therapeutics, she serves as the Clinical Director and Head of Operations, where she leads the design, implementation, and quality assurance of all programs. With a sharp focus on learner engagement and therapeutic relevance, she ensures that each offering at IAT maintains the highest clinical and academic standards. Her leadership bridges innovation and integrity, empowering students and professionals alike to translate theoretical knowledge into meaningful therapeutic impact.

With a profound dedication to mental health and spiritual well-being, Mrs. Rajashree Gautham brings over 30 years of experience as a counselling psychologist. Her therapeutic approach integrates traditional psychological practices with spiritual principles, offering holistic support to individuals navigating life's challenges.​ Mrs. Gautham is particularly passionate about empowering women, encouraging their active participation in spiritual practices and leadership roles within the organization.​ Her commitment to service extends beyond organizational boundaries, as she collaborates with local institutions and community groups to enhance the accessibility of mental health resources and spiritual guidance. Mrs. Gautham's unwavering dedication continues to inspire many on their journeys toward personal growth and collective harmony.

Dr. Sugumar is a seasoned physiotherapy educator and community health practitioner with over two decades of experience. Having served as an Assistant Professor in two reputed physiotherapy colleges, he has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring students since 1999.

He is the founder and driving force behind the RIAL (Return to Independent Active Life) initiative, a community-based rehabilitation model that has supported thousands of individuals across Chennai and Tamil Nadu in regaining functional independence. Through a dedicated network of physiotherapists, Dr. Sugumar has spent the last 10 years championing patient-centric care, mobility recovery, and long-term rehabilitation.

At IAT, Dr. Sugumar brings his clinical expertise, academic leadership, and strong field network to develop outcome-driven training programs in physiotherapy and allied rehabilitation sciences.

Muthu Logan is a US-based technology entrepreneur and global innovation strategist with over 25 years of experience in the Telecom, Broadband Networking, Wireless Connectivity, IoT, and HealthTech industries. As an advisor to the Institute of Applied Therapeutics (IAT), he brings deep expertise in technology-driven transformation, innovation strategy, and global market development to help shape IAT’s mission of delivering accessible, scalable, and impactful therapeutic education and care.

Muthu is also deeply committed to mentoring mission-driven ventures. He has guided numerous early-phase initiatives across industries in building strong business models, developing product-market fit, and navigating complex go-to-market strategies—especially in the fields of connectivity, health, and education. Ms. Kirtika is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a core member of the clinical team at Doc Gautham’s Neuro Centre. With a strong background in evidence-based interventions and psychological assessment, she brings clinical depth and academic rigor to the Institute of Applied Therapeutics.

As Head of Academic Affairs & Clinical Training, she leads the design and coordination of all learning programs, ensuring that each course is grounded in scientific principles and aligned with real-world clinical application. She also oversees faculty planning, curriculum development, and technical delivery of live and recorded content.

With her quiet competence and eye for detail, Kirtika serves as the academic backbone of the Institute, shaping the next generation of mental health professionals with integrity and care.
